WellConnection want to be a preferred supplier by exceeding our customers expectations with regards to ESG & carbon footprint initiatives. We also apply the highest standards of conduct, ethics and compliance.

Our goal is to be carbon neutral by 2030, so that our clients can be as well. Below you can read more about our work on sustainability.

WellConnection is commited to help achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. We recognize our environmental, social and economic responsibilities, and work to meet the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. We focus especially on:

Reporting on GHG emissions allows WellConnection to work actively to reduce our carbon footprint. 2021 has not just been a full year’s benchmark of our emissions but also an excellent opportunity to inform and teach our organization about the value and importance of reducing our emissions.

We follow the standards of the GHG Protocol, and our reporting on GHG emissions is based on the following:

Scope 1: Direct emissions from company-owned and controlled resources.

Scope 2: Indirect emissions from purchased electricity, steam, heating and cooling used by the organization.

Scope 3: All other indirect emissions from activities of the organization, such as business travel, procurement, waste and water.

These measures reduced WellConnection’s Scope 1, 2 & 3 emissions by approximately 350 tonnes CO2 in 2021.


› Substitute diesel forklifts with electric forklifts
› Substitute our company diesel vehicles with electric vehicles
› Substitute diesel high-pressure pumps with electric high-pressure pumps
› Install chargers for electric vehicles at every WellConnection facility
› Install solar panels at our facility at Mongstad
› Initiate carbon offset processes at every WellConnection location
› Demand that our suppliers work actively to reduce their CO2 emissions
› Invest in more energy efficient CNC lathes and hardbanding machines
› Reduce transport by better utilizing the load capacity of trucks

These planned measures can reduce WellConnection’s Scope 1, 2 & 3 emissions by as much as 900 tonnes of CO2 annually.


Our facilities at Mongstad greatly contribute to minimizing our CO2 emissions by serving as a one-stop-shop for our clients.

At one location, we offer logistics and planning services, high-pressure cleaning, NDT inspection, machining, hardbanding and storage. By performing all repair services inside the WellConnection base, the estimated CO2 emissions savings are approximately 24 tonnes annually. One-stop-shop benefits include:

› In-house control of all processes
› No transport of equipment to repair shops
› Reduction of power, water and consumables
› Reuse of water from high-pressure cleaning unit
› Reduction of human errors, time use and headcount
› Proximity to Mongstad Base port


By embracing diversity and inclusion, with zero tolerance to discrimination and harassment, WellConnection has a sustainable position towards social standards.

Over the years, WellConnection has employed a high number of personnel that needed start-up support. People that have suffered from unemployment, drug or alcohol abuse, etc. have been given a chance to contribute and turned into permanent employees.
